NEED HELP w/ 1889 ELGIN BOX HINGED GF Case Manufacturer?

This is one of the nicer cases I've come across... actually, THE nicest. Not sure who the case maker is. All that's marked is an eagle with serial number. Golf filled but not marked as such. Anyway, it runs well and was a terrific find. Can anyone help on case?

I have one pocket watch hunter case that has the same eagle but also has A.D & CO so if the eagle is the company logo then your case mite be made by the same case co.

Very nice, and reasonably old style. The movement dates to around 1889, and I'd guess the case was bought with the watch. Mid grade watch at the time; someone probably wanted a "looker". You might want to scan through this PDF...I did a quick look, but didn't see the eagle symbol:

I also don't see any watch case companies that would match "A.D. & Co".
