The styling looks a lot like 1920s, but no later than the 1930s. Your watch looks very similar to a 1939 men's model on p. 708 of Cooksey Shugart, et al., No. 24 (2004).

It's funny...based on your photos the watch appears to be possibly Sterling silver, but the caseback says 10K RGP, which of course is gold plate.

Your watch is a very nice piece, and would be a handsome heirloom. Unfortunately, I doubt it would fetch much more than $100 on eBay, if that. Still, it's a nice timepiece worth preserving.

    Thank you very much.

I was not looking to sell the piece, so the value does not matter too much. I was mainly looking for the model so I could get a better idea of its history. The watch was given to my grandmother, but I need to ask my grandfather if he gave it to her or not.. and if so, where it cames from. It may already be a family heirloom. :)

However, I do have one more question-- does the B/W engraved near the 'Pat. pending' simply stand for Bulova Wristwatch?

    Thanks again.

I'm not sure about that, but it's a good guess!

I'd guess 1930s as well. B/W probably means Bulova Watch.
