New $200. dial on cheap Omega?

A reasonably good condition plain gold fill case and band Omega 600, 1965, that will not be used is all original. A new authentic dial is available. Watch was a $40. bargain and I guess $240 with new dial is ok. I am inclined to add it, rather than a repaint, but would you do it?

I love the patina on the original. Would not replace it if I owned it.

The movement looks in very nice shape, and with a little polishing the case would be nice I'll bet. It's up to you, but I'd go for it - it'll be a nice looking daily wearer.

NSMike directs me to a good Swiss low cost source. Thankyou. However, this is a personal decision and the generous thoughtful comments have good reasons for either way whether $200. or $40. and I am still not commited. I may actually want to use it after all. I like the comfortable band and size, and appearance.

Re: New $200. dial on cheap Omega?

Im not quick to opt for redialing, but I'd redial this one. Plus: a nice new dial may not match very well to the hands.
It is a nice, simple dial, and will be much less than a NOS part, likely under $60 for the dial and hands to be refinished.
May need a crown, and crystal too? seems like moisture may have cause the dial to go?
Missing a gasket in the back? and is that a notch cut into the case by the balance?
Maybe save the money on the new dial (and hands?), redial, new crown, new crystal, and service....?
    Or....Flipit!
