New Arrival 1915 Waltham black dial.

This one arrived a couple days ago from the U.K.
It is a 1915 3/0 Waltham 31mm,I'm going by the movement serial #20305049 on the year.
It is a Dennison Moon 10k gold plated case, since is a gold plated case there are no hallmarks.
The dial says Waltham U.S.A. and it says "Swiss made dial"on the top.
I'm assuming this watch was made in England for the U.K. market by Waltham.

Re: New Arrival 1915 Waltham black dial.

Dennison had those dials made in Switzerland.

He also had some Elgin dials made in Switzerland too for the European market, the back of these dials were stamped "DQ" for Dennison Quality.

The black Waltham dials were not stamped "DQ" though.

    VERY nice trench watch Jose!

You may want to read "Aaron Lufkin Dennison, An Industrial Pioneer and His Legacy" by Phillip T. Priestley.

    ISBN: 978-0-9823584-1-2

Specifically page 80 for a further explanation of the of the markings on the inside of the case back, like the "21" stamp and its meaning.
