"New" Heuer Carrera on the way

Just traded for this...I know very little about Heuers but I do rather like chronos

I have heard from a UK dealer that these were originally waterproofed to 50 or 100 meters...

    Anyone know?

Also, how about power reserve on the cal 12?

My net $ invested (via the three deals involved) to get to this is $700.

    Any Heuer experts here?

I'd try the Tag Heuer forum too...
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

I have the re-edition. I love it. If you only paid $700 you win the freaking party.

Re: "New" Heuer Carrera on the way

I had $700 in a Breitling Jupiter Pilot, which I sold for $1,400 which I then used to buy a Breitling Super Ocean, which I just traded for this. so I'm still at my original $700.

Re: "New" Heuer Carrera on the way

I have the same caliber 12 in a so-called "Poor Man's" Heuer. I've owned this one for about a year. I suspect it was not used much prior to my owning it. Started out tight and has loosened up quite a bit.

Keeps excellent time and power reserve is at least 36 hours vs. 42 as per Ranfft:

    Enjoy your Heuer!
