    New-To-Me Today 70s Omega Automatic

Thanks to @badbackdan and @laikrodukus for help and commenting on making this purchase. I have wanted a 70s Omega for a while. Caliber 1020. Case was brassed but I shined it up a bit.

    Enjoy the pics:

Nice, the 1xxx series movements are not the prettiest but can be reliable workhorses, Id recommend a service if youre not sure its been done.

Yes, I will. Also trying to determine if the crown is original. I know some and signed crowns and others not during this time. This crown is not signed.

Nice watch. I like those 1970's watches and think the 10xx movement gets a bad rap.

The crown is not correct. It should have a Omega symbol on that model

The crown can be sourced using the number on the inside of your case back (a number that is in this format XXX.XXX)

Yes and very accurate too and they were the latest best thing before OMEGA lost its manufacture status in 1984.

Thank you. Getting the correct crown is now a priority.

This is the model. I am concerned about the pink indicator. My case is definitely not pink/rose gold.

I do agree. The pink and yellow brass would be awkward. Stylish watch. Is the bracelet brass too?

The bracelet which came with the purchase is a gold JB Champion Omega clasp style. It originally came with a leather strap with Omega pin buckle.

Finally found a similar one after days of searching. Funny that they mention the crown is not signed. They do mention the stem is too long.
