    New (Old) Waltham

I've been collecting American made vintage for several years, slowly but surely because I don't have a lot of disposable income. I've been able to get several Hamiltons, a couple of Bulovas from my father, a Lord Elgin, an Illinois pocket watch from my Grandfather and now a Waltham.

This Waltham is of lesser panache and quality than, particularly, the Hamiltons. The dial is stamped, so the markers are not applied. The case is of lesser quality and the movement is also not quite as refined. I do enjoy these old movements, at the time many were the epitome of quality and function.

Not bad for a watch aged 71 you have to admit. Thanks for posting.

    Lovely looking watch!

Very antique Hamilton-looking too I must say.
