    New Pocket Watch Owner

    Hello all,
I recent picked up this watch at a yard sale. Hoping to discover it's actual value.
I haven't opened it up yet to get more information but decided to ask the community what you know about. I found the Numeral Font to be interesting.
I didn't find much information online from the face markings.
It is not a very heavy piece, which I interpret as a clue that is cheaply made. Yet the brand name suggests otherwise when I did a search.

    Any information will be helpful.
    Thank you.

Cheap modern PW, as you suspected. Probably a small wristwatch movement inside.

It's in great condition but I can't find anything like it online. I haven't figured out how to wind it (if it winds). I will take it to a friendly jeweler this week to have it opened. Fifty cents at a yard sale, no loss monetary possible.

    Thanks for the input.

It says QUARTZ on the dial, so it's not mechanical and can't be wound. It takes a battery.

The word "Quartz" on the dial makes it pretty unlikely that winding will start it running. Better try it with a new battery.

    Thank you Roland and Dan.
I figured since there wasn't an obvious winding method and the likelihood that it was modern and not high-end, a battery was likely.

If you look at your potential profit margin without looking at the actual numbers then it looks like a pretty awesome deal. :)
