New to vintage Omega! 2nd opinion on this cal 284?

I come begging for some superior wisdom from the fine folks of this forum.

I've across this watch and am seriously considering buying it. It's advertised as a 1958 ref # 2910 cal 284, 36mm without crown. To my amateur eyes, it looks to be in great shape and legit (although I can't find an exact match in the Omega Vintage archives at that calibre). Love the dial, the size, condition looks good.

Pic of dial and movement below.

What do you guys think? What would be a fair price for this, assuming it's relatively recently serviced? Asking price was around $850 - so I'm a bit nervous to wade in without getting the forum's feedback.

Looks nice to me, but I'm not an expert on them. The date sounds about right. Here's the movement per Dr. Ranfft bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Omega 284 The ser# on Dr. Ranfft's site is 16053164 and they are dating that one at 1958. Yours is 16050912 so I would say that's close.

Here is the OVD entry (not sure why you didn't find it): https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-o...-omega-ck-2910

I don't think the hands are legit, in particular the large triangular lume plot on the hour hand looks funny to me. Not typical for Omega. Obviously they have been re-lumed, but I am talking about the hands themselves; I think they're wrong.

I'm also concerned about the "two-tone" movement; probably put together from parts of different movements.

    Wrong hands. Doubtful movement.

Refinished dial as a quick check showed the model is not a Seamaster. Hands appear to be replacements as models used smaller luminous openings in some versions.

Movement most likely has a replaced mainspring bridge and a couple of rusty screws

    Forget about it
