New watch, new markings, no markings :)

Hi can anybody tell me what these markings mean please...and the possibility of the watch maker etc...thanks. The case is hinged and opens from the top but the dial and movement has no names again...maybe someone knows the stamps.

    I'm guessing the 18 & 750 refer to the gold content: 18 kt (75%).

The "F"s remind me of the Fendi logo. Its a possibility the "124" corresponds to "Manufacture Cartier La Chaux-de-Fonds" and the "SD" to Sylvain Dreyfuss. Try this link, it may prove more useful than I.

The F's are an import stamp of the Glasgow assay office. The rest is correct. SD= Sylvain Dreyfus, the poincon de maitre with 124 in the "hammer head" points to Cartier.

No. It means that their gold foundry - likely a Swiss subsidiary of theirs - has made the case. The manufacturer in question was registered in Chaux-de-Fonds, and Cartier, as such, had their company and most of the trademarks registered in Paris. For that matter, it doesn't even have to be connected with that Cartier. Could be just a namesake, there's more than a few such instances among trademarks.
