This just came in for me. NATO strap to jazz it up.

Looks a nice clean example, I'd have to put it on a nice leather or pig skin straying it was mine though but whatever floats your boat

I must agree that a NATO strap is just to modern looking for me.

I felt the same way after wearing it for a while. I bought a brown Hirsch to put it on instead, should be coming in soon.

I am impressed with it's time keeping so far. I have not had a vintage mechanical wind watch before, and after ~20 hours I have only lost about 10 seconds or so.

A brown leather strap- whatever design you've picked- will look better than the NATO. A gold/gilt dress watch + NATO strap isn't a good combination in my book. Of course, some people here would wear it this way, so it's just my $0.02.
This NATO will be a good choice of strap for a vintage diver, methinks.

I guess I'll have to go buy one of those too... ;) I have been tooling around with the idea of a Zodiac Seawolf for a while.

I did just order a replacement crown and crysta from Ofrei.com, I will post up some refreshed pics when those repairs get made. Makes it only $350 all in after watch and parts, though I'll have to see what labor ends up being because I am not putting a crystal in a watch that old, so I came in under where I wanted for my first vintage purchase. Trying to ease my way in. :)
