Next Best Thing to Scoring a Grail

I just won an ebay auction on a Technos Sky Diver 250. I have admired the Certina Divers for a while, and like the smaller DS2 PH200M, over the bigger Super DS2s and 3's. The problem is, that they are priced out of my budget. The Technos Sky Diver 250 has exactly the same case with an ETA 2793 movement instead of the in house Certina movement. The servicing advantages of a common movement vs. the exclusivity of an in house movement are a wash IMHO. The only real downside is I do prefer the Certina Turtle on the case back to the Technos Anchor.

Here are the sellers pictures. At $275 it's proof that there are some deals on the bay.

Great watch! I just love that style of diver, and there ain't nothing wrong with that anchor caseback, either. Nice score.

Here's a photo of a Certina caseback. It's just a matter of preference and the only real difference between the two as far as I'm concerned.

That is a very pretty caseback.

The caseback of the Technos is good too - a very 'purposeful' anchor.

Please don't PM me to ask for a valuation - I won't attempt one.
