Also, I think it may be from 1948, but I am not sure...

I love it but I'm not that sure about the case back. And yes the serial number puts it in the late 40's. Looks like the dial has had a touch up but for me that's ok because this was noramal back then so why not now days.

Has it got a hard glas crystal for it looks very clear or is there no crystal?

Thanks. I do not have the watch yet but I think it is hard glass crystal.

It would have been nicer with a acrylic crystal for they make the dial look warmer and it hides little of the roughness. There are little to many changes for it to be a collectors watch but if it works as it should it's a great timepiece.

    Honest?
    Its OK
If it was very cheap - its OK
Its an old , tired Longines, that will not turn anyone's head - sorry

Thanks Horologist. I do think it seems tired as well but my plan is to get a nice leather strap for it and restore/make it shiny and clean using some chemicals to bring it back to its glory:)Maybe some Brasso or others..Information wise, I could find much about it other than being 1948..

The problem with the watch is the dial because of the shoddy painting.

Longines should be thinner and staright and the numbers are to thick and the colour is to rich.

To me it looks like the hour and minut hands ar put on the wrong way for they should be more sculptured so what we are seeing is the back of them.

And you must change the crystal to a high dome acryl crystal.
