Nostalgia: Early Wristwatches and Cell Phones

If the brick phones would be the pocket watches in its evolution, I guess the Ericsson 388 and 688 from the early 90's ( my first mobile phone ) would be the trench watches and earliest wrist watches, so would be the Nokia 8110 from the mid 90's. I remember the ad from 1994 advertising the 388 as the smallest cell phone on the planet :)I still love the melodies the early classic Nokia ( which sounds like a song from the records )and Ericsson rythms, sounds like a low beat wrist watch.

Well, my own cellphone is only a little younger than that one (monotone display, no downloadable ring tones, no internet, no games.....) but since I only ever switch it on when I want to use it ("Don't call me, I'll call you!"), it suits me fine!
