Question Ogival vintage diver... any info?

First post in the vintage forum... but lurked a lot previously (not that much to contribute as I am a newby).

I posted this in the divers forum as well (https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=205080) but this well may belong to this one instead.

    I would like to get some info about Ogival other than what can be obtained by googling them on the net. What happened with the brand, were they any good? I am particularly interested in the attached model;

I like the timepiece but have no info whatsoever on movement or anything else. It may be from the 60s.
I serched WUS as well but there were not that many posts (3 or 4) on the brand...

Any info will be much appreciated, thanks!

    Cheers,

    Guillermo

Honestly I know nothing about divers and even less about Ogival. I hope the other guys can step in here. Thanks for posting.

I have seen them occasionally on the bay. I have the impression they are a lot like Roamer, encasers of Swiss output. I do not recall seeing any modern watches with the name.
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Actually Roamer is/was a Swiss company and made their own movements as the manufacture MST (Meyer & Studeli). Of course movements from some other manufactures were used as well. For some history on Roamer look here.

    Hi I have an Ogival,

    And have found some adds...

They were still going in 2003 when this model came out....

This thread suggests a relationship between Ogival and Ulysse Nardin:

This link has a bit about their history:

    Hope this helps

Thank you for your answers: I got most of the information except for the ads and the excellent pictures of Tim's Ogival... If I put my hands on the watch I will try to post some pics of the movement, but will be in a week at the earliest.

    Cheers,

    Guillermo
