    Old Swiss watch identification

The same day i got that 14k Gold pocket watch I also got this odd Swiss 15J watch. It has no name on the dial and no name on the case back or movement There is the following numbers on the movement:

1546 (could be 1646 or 1545 as the numbers were hard to see)

It seems to run well and the case is made of stainless steel with fixed lugs and is one of the few black dialed vintage watches that I have seen. The dial was originally lumed(with radium most likely)

Can anybody identify the watch? I paid $5 for it which I think is well worth it even if it is a no name watch.

I'm afraid we will probably not be able to help you much. Since it has a black dial, it may well have been repainted at some stage (black dials were a rarity in the old days) and if so, the original name - if it had one - will have gone. The movement doesn't help much either: it is a generic Adolf Schild movement of the AS 984 family:

    bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: AS 984

Age? Late forties, early fifties, I'd say. No US import code on the movement pointing towards a maker so it was probably made for the European market.
