    Is this Omega a marriage/recased?

I was looking to pick up an older military style Omega. I found one and I really like it but i was wondering if it was a marriage watch. It may be a pocket watch that was recased into a wristwatch but I have no way of knowing. I know they are common but the way this case has aged it seems it may have been from the 40's perhaps? Also what do you think of the crown, original? The seller has no info as he only inherited the watch from his father. Can any one shed some light on this one for me? Thanks in advance.. Also the case measures 43mm which is quite large for that time period but there are a few watches of that size from that era.. What do you guys think?

Frankenwatch- a so-called Ukrainian Special. Re-cased PW with a repainted dial, usually sold as "early wristwatches" or "military watches". They're neither, of course. Simple rubbish, whether it was recased recently or some time ago doesn't matter.

Dire. Walk, run, drive, fly away from this. Dreadful.

I see these and wonder what may have been originally housed in the case. The wear is rather heavy but then I wonder as well if they are making cases and then distressing them go give the look of being a legitimate old watch case. You could look at the rim where the case screws go to look for other screw marks but if the watch had a movement that did not use this type of case screw then the marks would be inside the case and not visible. It can also be an indication that the case is new and just distressed.
