No Omegas were cheap!! I think it was in the lower mid price in the Omega range.Just a stupid question: Is the caseback not "screw in" ? Also, can you post some pics, please?

The Omega 1345 was a movement Omega manufactured; it is not from Eta. Back then all Omega quartz was very high end -- filling the top price brackets for the brand.

Nowadays few realize how well made they were and they do not command a price near their contemporary mechanicals. DeVilles and Seamasters seem to have been the most common casing for a 1345.

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

How strange a SEAmaster had a press-in caseback, when my Constellation had a screw in back!!! Not logical, is it?
I hope you give your Omega a new lease of life, Allan, honey!

The page from the Omega Vintage Web Site that I posted on the Omega forum gives all the details on this watch and the price in 1977. You can judge for yourself if it was cheap. Taking inflation into account, i.e., multipling the 1977 price (380 Swiss Francs) by about 4 to get the 2008 price gives 1540 Swiss Francs or around $1345.

    Hello Allan
If you seek the movement number which is something starting with, in my watch is the number 40372070 and the calibre on Google.com then you will se which year it is produced. But it seems like the same type of watch I have. Do it have Day/date.
I´m not sure about the price, but if it is the same type as I have, then the value in denmark is about 3-4000 Dkr.
    New Year greetings
