Omega Speedmaster Mark IV, Tissot Seastar T12 estate sale pick ups

I got these today at a local estate sale. I hope the Speedmaster s authentic. The Speedmaster case s loose. Could it be missing a ring that enables it to snap on or perhaps it needs a special press? Any thoughts about this issue?

Not sure what I will do with them. I dont have a chrono in my collection. Im liking the Tissot. Having difficulty setting the date on the Tissot though. There does not appear to be a quick set.

Nice finds with the original bracelets. The Tissot must have a quick-set of some type since day and date must be set independently.

That is one heck of a find for the Speedy! I would try and take it to a local independent watch repair person and see if they can give you any guidance. Great scores though!

Is the bezel on the Speedmaster ok? Some of the numbers look slightly askew, e.g. 110 and 130.

I’ve seen other examples with the same placement/orientation of those numbers and the dots above them. I think they’re okay.

Illusion. They appear to be, as the entire crystal/bezel seems to be loose, or has been incorrectly reattached. Note that the 60 marker is not aligned correctly to the index at 12 o'clock.

Great finds, I covert the Speedy, with the Tissot try pushing the crown to advance date? Not sure what movement it has, if the crown push works then it's a 2571, if it doesn't then it houses a 794.

I agree, the Speedmaster is legit. I have one on my wrist right now and it looks exactly the same. It's also my most worn watch (probably wearing it at least 75% of the time) as the central chrono-minute is a very nice feature, and the movement (Omega 1040, base Lemania 1340) is really good and reliable. It runs about +/- 3s/day now that it's been serviced.
