Does it not sayRoskopf Patent on the dial? That would indicate (to me) that it is not an Original.

It says "Rosskopf fres Patent" (You can zoom the picture). I don't uderstand you, if there writes "Roskopf Patent" i would be sure that it is original. I am confuzed becoas there are two letters "ss".

The use of "Rosskopf" with two S's was to get around trademark issues with the original Roskopf. Good information here:

    Re: Original Roskopf?

In general, no...Roskopf style movements were simple and robust but not the most accurate watches, and were marketed towards people that just needed basic time for low price. That said, there is a certainly a market for them; I tend to see them sell at auctions for much higher then I would expect. Check with Ebay for a starting idea. Yours isn't in the greatest of shape though.

Its somewhat ironic that RiverRat called these the "timex" of their day; the design of the Timex is a direct derivative of the roskopf design, with the hands being driven by the first wheel.

    Hi everybody.
Cause I dont want to open another thread, please tell me if this watch is original? It belongs to my friend from his grandpa. Maybe someone who is good to make it work. Thanks in advance.[ATTACH=CONFIG]13552269[/Name: 20181012_051716.jpg
