Pateck & Co pocket watch challenge

Now, here is a little challenge for you.

I've stumbled upon a pocket watch for sale, I don't have any useful images of it at the moment. But here is what the seller says:

Pocket watch with a locomotive on the dial. The back lid is ingraved with a flower on a silver surface. Inside the lid it says "CHH" and 93296 and stamped: "argent".
It also says 34660 and "Pateck & Co, Geneve" on the other lid.
    Wound by key.
    In need of a service.

I said I don't have any useful images.. This is the one I have.. It's anyones guess witch one the Pateck is..

Well.. For now my question is.. Do anyone of you know enough about Pateck to say anything about witch model this might be, and price..
I'm lost when it come to pocket watches..

Well, if it has something on the dial, it shouldn't be one of the left two. The third one looks golden so I'd go for the last one (on the right).

On the other hand, who really cares?! Are you thinking that this might be from Patek Philippe?!! I'd say, very unlikely - even allowing for a misspelling on behalf of the seller, Patek Philippe never put Patek & Co, Geneve on their watches AFAIK. They started as Patek, Capek & Cie (NOT "& Co." - the french version is "et Companie", abbreviated to "& Cie") and soon afterwards became Patek Philippe. I have never seen just one name on the dial. Either coincidence or a deliberate fake, I'd say. On top of that, mixing styles (a train on the dial, flowers on the case) sounds a little too kitschy for PP.

If the 'Patek' is key wound, as you say, then it
should be the first one as the other three look
to be stem wound....but where is the loco on
    the dial?

very few companies misspell their own names... I smell a rat.... maybe a Rateck?

I agree, the mixing of styles is rather odd..

Regarding the Patek / Pateck issues, please look at my post further down.

definately...but if it was spelled Patek and co it could be legit as Patek
made watches under this name between 1845-51 after a split with
    his initial partner.
That first watch could be from that period...it looks very elegant but I'd
    want to see the movement.

Re: Pateck & Co pocket watch challenge

In May this year another pocketwatch named Pateck popped up on this forum. Use the search and spelling Pateck.

I guess a "hommage" of old? Nothing is new under the sun!
