    Patek Movement Identification

    Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify the movement in this picture, Ive had no luck on my own. Thanks!

    Looks like a LeCoultre 818, modified by Patek.

    I too thought this at first, but I have been unable to find any documentation that says that Patek ever used the 818 (of course this does not mean that they didn't - only that my research has not found it).

    Also, the bridge and plate are fairly different shapes.
    I may be a little bit overly into Japanese watches. Maybe.

    This is not a side-bar question. This is a serious point. A lot feels "off" about this movement to me (and the watch it is in) but I did not want to poison the well by saying so before someone else brought this up.
    I may be a little bit overly into Japanese watches. Maybe.
