I wouldn't worry what model it is or what year it's from. I hope you didn't pay too much. You should post a picture of the movement.

Why? does it look like a fake?
I was hoping to find some reference/model numbers so I can compare it to pictures of an original watch, fakes usually have some obvious flaws.

I will receive the watch next week or so and will be able to post a pic of the movement by then. If it's a fake I'll simply get my money back :) Thought it was worth a shot.

It would be OK for you to post link to the ended auction (if bought on ebay) as part of general education of our members.

I hope you got it cheaply. Are you going to complain?

Well, for a start, it is a chronograph with the totalizers at 2:00, 6:00 and 10:00. That is immediately indicative of a quartz chronograph. I don't know whether PP ever made such watches but I have my doubts.....

Thanks for the replies, really appreciate the info.

I will post the auction and sellers info here if it turns out to be a fake (most likely).
The seller never sold any watches before, and sells some other vintage items like porcelain, stamps and records, so figured it's worth the gamble ;)

This was the only picture in the listing, so can't post any others yet. It also seems to be not working

Might sound naive but I've had some bargains this way in the past, like a spanking mint 1945 omega 30.10 with the original box and even the original 1945 strap and buckle on it :]
Was sold as-is non working but turned out it had some falling damage and was an easy fix!

Well, caveat emptor, as they always say.

For another thing, come to think of it, I can't remember seeing a genuine Patek Phillipe with the Calatrava cross on the dial.....

PP did manufacture plenty of Quartz watches back in the 70-80's.
Today they still do, some ladies models are Quartz.

I was assured by the PP specialist at the lokal AD that it was manufactured totally inhouse.

I do not know absolutely anything about PP, but I do not see PP designing a dial with such bad harmony.
