    Patek Philippe - help needed

    Hi there,
I would like to ask for your opinion about this watch. To me, the dial and hands look poor, but what about the rest? The back holds the company mark, the teeth and anchor look like Patek, but overall, I don’t know what to think about this watch.

Looks like a generic Lepine movement with a fake PP case and dial.
    SilkeN and bubba48 like this.

I would say that it's a Frankenwatch at best, and at worst a complete fake. The movement is definitely of above average quality ("moustache" lever, more elaborate stud holder on balance cock) but even then, not close to the standards of true PP movements (Geneva seal, Breguet overcoil, wolf teeth on winding gears). The movement looks like it's from pre WWI, yet it is in a modern style wrist watch case. The dial looks like something from the late thirties to the early fifties and the maker's inscription is feeble (the "Genève" is also missing). I will give the forum members 24 hours to convince me of this timepiece's authenticity, after that, I will close this down in line with Rule 9 (which also covers fakes).

Thank you for your opinions. I appreciate your help! The watch belongs to my client who wants a strap for it but I got suspicious about it and wanted to ask more experienced people.

In that case: case closed (and the thread too).
