Gentleman, I request assistance in regards to this time piece. I am a collector of watches and have never owned a pocket watch let alone a vintage one.
So I walk into my local jeweler to have my wife's Daytona adjusted, and he asks if I want to see a Patek pocket watch from 1901, all original.
I was simply mesmerized!!! I have never been in such awe of such a beautiful work of art. The ticking of the watch was hypnotic. The enamel dial was pristine. The gold engravings on the edge were so artistically done. The case back did have an engraving of the original owner and who it was gifted by as well as the city, "Chelsea, Mich."
In the movement there was an engraving of the store "Wright and Co".
Does anyone have more info on this watch, #111107?
He is asking $8500. What is a fair price?
Thank you in advance!
