Peerless Shockmaster, Australian Railway Watch, Schild Movement.

I have acquired this Peerless Shockmaster Railway watch. From what I can find they were issued to train drivers and station masters of the Victorian railway from the 50s thru to 70s.
There have been a few on various watch sites over a period of time and they are all engraved on the back with what I assume is an employee number.
Has an AS 1900-01 movement. Was this a superior movement of its time, and what era would this be from?
Also found a trademark application for the name Peerless Shockmaster. Would this have been the importer/distributor of this particular watch.
    Thanks for any input.

Huh. I suspect Elgin didn't bother registering 'Shockmaster' as a trademark in Australia.

Post-1969, I believe, due to being marked "water resistant" as opposed to "waterproof."

I usually associated the Peerless brand with Stauffer, but it appears that this Peerless is completely unrelated to Stauffer.

Ah, I missed that. So I was half right about it being radioluminescence.
