Phenix D H - Wehrmacht WWII Ordonance Watch

    Gruess Gott,

next to my Mimo Dienstuhr is this very rare, authentic Phenix Deutsches Heer Dienstuhr with a AS1130, my favourite movement. The swiss manufacturer was found in 1873 Dubail, Monnin, Frossard et Cie, renamed in 1920's in Phénix Watch Co. and restrucered by ETA as Prisma.

This one here is a very rare Dienstuhr.

    AS1130, Incabloc
chromed Case with stainless steel back: 34 mm without crown, 37 mm with crown, 41 mm with lugs, 11 mm high
    18 mm fixed bars

Markings: Wasserdicht (waterproof), Stossgesichert (shockresistant), Antimagnetisch (antimagnetic), Rostfreier Stahlboden (stainless steel case back), DH Marking

I fixed the watch with a BUND Leather Strap for fixed lugs.

BUND is the marking for all the equipment of the Bundeswehr, the successor of the Wehrmacht - see Blancpain BUND, TAG Heuer BUND, ...

Another authentic Wehrmacht Ordonance Watch, a Glycine, is in the Sales Corner for a Trade.

    Many Greetings

    Felix

Excellent find, congratulations! The movement looks to be in very good condition.

    Hi Felix,

Very Nice.... I like it very very much!!

I have a Felco on its way... unsure if its a DH issue watch though... but the dial is a match to the one referenced on Time514 and has the same AS1130 cal movement:

    DH / DU / D Watches

I have checked out your Glycine a few days ago.....

Show me the Felco Dial and Case Back to see if it is a military issue. The markings can be different. Felco was used in Air Force, Navy and Army.

Re: Phenix D H - Wehrmacht WWII Ordonance Watch

    Hi Felix,

It was a slow sunday afternoon where I decided to search ebay for the entire list on that site.... and as normal, not much comes up!

The felco had a couple of hours left.... luckily the listing did not mention Military anywhere.... which probably helped me to get it cheap (cheap if it is military) but I have my doubts!

I dont have it yet..... Description says -

Manual wind, runs and keeps time, cracked crystal, nice AS 1130 big size movement, retro made protector band.

    • Dial signed: Felco, shock-ressist, antimagnetic
    • Back signed: fond acier inoxydable 8307
    • Movement signed: AS 1130

Width case including crown: 3.5 cm
Length case lug to lug: 3.7 cm

no pics of the back.... just a few front shots!

the seller was more interested in the strap I think!

The dial looks pretty good under that crystal...... but with no movement or case back shots, it was a bit of a gamble!

Lucky for me.... the price only jumped to half what I bid.... so either way, I got a bargain, as I would have paid more!

Sorry - I seem to be hijacking your thread!!!

Marc, seems to be a nice watch. The dial has nice patina und looks clean to me.

Dial, movement, case are the same as the military issued ones. But the case back is marked french, what could be the info about a non military issue. But I have seen authentic watches with additional military markings. So we wait for a photo of the back.

I like the watch and it has got a very nice AS1130 inside.

    Cheers Felix!

It does 'seem to be a nice watch'.... but as I have found out in the past.... seeming to be nice and actually being nice can be quite far apart! It all looks right to me.... hopefully find some markings!!

Just out of interest... if you had the info and pics I had, what do you think would have been a fair price to pay?? Think it seemed cheap for this type of watch!! I realise this question borders on the realms of valuations....

I will post a thread when it arrives!

Very nice, in a great condition!

It being Antimagnetic, should it not have an inner caseback?
