Picture Phenix pocket watch, is this a fake?

    Hello everyone!

I just bought a pocket watch for 30 euros at a junk market(is that the right term?) for car collectors. It reads ES on the back, phenix double or garantie 10 jahre and there is somekind of label that says GB MM GENEVE and a serieal number: 67106 on the top dust cover .The serial is repeated on the bottom dust cover and there is a number 12. It also reads phenix on the machinery. The odd thing is that the "glass" that covers the dials is made of plastic. It also has a inscription that says in swedish : Julen 1929 Elvie that translates to christmas 1929 Elvie. I just want to know if it's a fake or a real one. Here's some pics.

Real and nice one.Service it and you'll have a nice bauhaus style watch.

It appears to be what it claims it is
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Thanks alot for the verfication! I will definetely get it serviced. The odd thing is that the dial cover is made of plastic maybe it has been swapped for the glass one in the 60's when plastic was more popular

So it seems, the only real problem with the watch is that the dials keep jaming onto each other.. but otherwise it keeps perfect time :)

The watch has an in-house Phenix movement, something like the Cal. 400:

In case you don't know, Phenix amalgamated together with Buser, Vulcain and Revue Thommen into the M.S.R. (Manufactures Suisse Reunies) in the late fifties or early sixties. Revue later sort of emerged as top dog and took over the lot; recently, Vulcain has been revived after the rights to the name and calibres were again split off from Revue.
