We will need movement pics to say much.
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Unfortunately, Eeeb, this is all I have from the seller. Can you comment at all about what this piece might resemble (model-wise, age, etc.)? Any insight would be most helpful. Thanks!

The overall look is rather 1980s in retro style - which means it may well have a quartz movement inside.

It is quartz. I sold one a few years ago. Had a very nice quartz movement in it. Mine was kind of mid size.. or a larger woman's watch.

RonD. = do you recall anything else about it? Sales price? Age? Model number?

    Thanks!

The seller just emailed me a copy of a relatively recent repair (12/26/11) done on the piece by a local jewler. It says that it's indeed a quartz and that the main circuit was replaced. Is this something I should be worried about? Does it devalue the item? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If the local jeweler used original parts I tend to say no, if they did not: yes.
    Kind regards

Much appreciated, Mike! I'm loving learning about watches. I always saw them as works of art, and am now giving in to my desire to collect beautiful pieces!!
