Please help identifying and valuating this 18K Gold JLC Slim

    Hey Vintage-forum viewers.

I found this JLC while going through some advertisements and I would like to know what it is and which calibre should be inside.
I have asked the seller for more info on the calibre but he hasn´t responded.

What is this worth if I would advertise it here on the sales section? What would be a good price to sell it for?

    Details: 18K solid gold case
    35mm diameter
    Mechanical.

With the logo at 12:00 and the writing at 3:00, I would be very wary. Sure, if the writing should be at 12:00 too, one would expect a 3:00 marker. But that could have been removed (or lost!) before a redial, making it possible (necessary?!) to put the writing at 3:00. If the seller won't giver any indication on the movement, I would walk away instantly.

e: didn't see that coming. my apologies as I was wrong. However I keep my statement regarding the movement picture. I would never buy an online watch without seeing the movement unless I don't have to dig deep in my pocket. It's one to risk 50$ but few hundreds or even thousands..

Err… sorry, but the marker for 3:00 o'clock doesn't appear to line up at all to the 9:00 o'clock marker. This watch looks dodgy, any discussion of potential price to gain has to be balanced against the likely high costs to sort this out.

Guys, thanks for the replies already but you are all a bit mistaken, there is no 3o´clock bar. It is the shadow from the minute hand :P
You can see it better from this picture:

I have ordered the collectors book for JLC a while ago so I will check that if I get it. I have never seen a JLC with offset writing like this.

Watch is original and correct. JLC made dials with the name at "3" in the early 1960's. Here is a slightly different one that I found:

Can't tell if it is solid gold or plated from the pictures.

Thanks man. Now for the tricky question.; If I find the movement to be correct, and the case is indeed 18K solid gold. What would one be worth here on the forum? I was guessing around 1500Euro?

    Hi and welcome.

As gatorcpa says and Based on no movement pictures, just dial, the watch appears genuine?

however to me, the dial has been reworked.
Compare the Jaeger name at '3' oclock on yours compared to the one posted by gatorcpa, also where are the 'cross hatch' lines on your dial. Difficult to re-do, so missed off?To me yours is a re-worked dial.
    Reducing the value a lot.
    That and no movememt pics??
    Not worth 1500 anything

The dial may be original, there are many jlc watches that use the same font, and it does not have to have a cross-hair dial.
However, it is crucial you see the movement, inside and outside of case back, and the pics must be clear. If one is spending a fair amount, you need proof.
