Please help us identify our mystery pocket watch

    Hi.

    Wow, what a great forum!

I wonder if anybody would be able to help us identify my wifes pocket watch. It was bought for her as an 18th birthday present back in the 80s and neither she or her parents know anything about its origins.

What we do know about it are that it is 0.935 Silver and it is Swiss made (Swiss hallmarks and engraving on the movement)
There are two stamps on the watch with the initials GW (One is inside back of the dust cover and the other is on the movement)
There is also a very small stamp of what looks like LP or LF on the inside of the dust cover and the casing

Hopefully somebody can shed some light on its age and origins

    Thanks

    And so to the pics......

I have taken a few pics which are posted below

Looks to be a Women s pocket watch of Swiss manufacture, around the turn of the century, fairly generic Swiss movement.
    Pretty dial design.

    Thanks...

Im hoping to find out what the GW stamp inside refers to and the W engraved into the case

Any ideas or info on where to look would be greatly appreciated

Clear pictures of the GW mark on the movement and any makings on the inside of the case might help someone here to provide the answer.
There were thousands of Swiss watchmakers over the years, many with the same initials.
