Gread or better nice flat (smal ?) watch. The bridge configuration of the keywind movement is a standart style we use to call Lepine IV. By some details is a "middle age Lepine IV" somewhere around 1850 I guess Mikrolisk - The horological trade mark index. Cylinderescaprment, 10 rubies, gold case with a bid enamel ..very nice to view.

DF & C. is a trademark of Dimier Freres & Cie., Switzerland

The DF & C. in an oval has been registered in 1901 by Dimier Freres, watchmakers and importers, Geneva, Switzerland. They also had offices in London.

What puzzles me a bit: If that logo in the oval, as marked in your watch, has only been used from 1901 onwards, your watch must be earliest from 1901, but it looks older to me. Other might know more to shed some light on this.

The watch definetly looks earlier and 1901 is improbable if it's an gents watch. Unfortenatly don't know anything about the size. The dial is more english than continental taste. If its a watch for a woman such late swiss keywinder excist even in a gold case. Noone could really explain why a woman needs a watch those daysn except decoration, if she isn't a nurse. The lepine movements are flat and you've more than enough place for a cylinder escapement in a smal nice watch without using haute holorgerie. Of course in watches for men in a gold case you don't find this old technique.
