    Pocket Watch Identification - help

    Hi,

This is my first time on the forum, prompted my daughter giving me a pocket watch for Xmas, which is in need of serious TLC. I would like to find out more about the watch, and where to get parts (there is no glass and I have no key) also what to use to clean it.

We think it's early 20th century, on the face is a old sailing ship, inside the back cover are the worlds Aluminum Gold wrapped round a crown. Under the crown is the number 2878,( I think). Inside the cover for the mechanism, is the number again.

I have attached some pictures, so hopefully they will help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards

    Wolfboy

    Hi,

Apart from the F&S, there are no markings. I thought that the ship might be a makers mark or logo?

Did you mean under the plate that's covering most of the movement?
