Pocket Watch Movement ID. 17 Jewel Incabloc Swiss.

Looking to ID this new Pocket watch movement. It says Swiss Made 17 Jewel Incabloc. Quite like it. Unsure of the BPH. I do wish these companies were transparent about the movement types.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Unitas 6498. As to BPH, i.e. the frequency, it's either 18000 or 21600, as the 6497 and 6498 (open-face and hunter configuration, respectively) has only been available in versions operating at these frequencies.

Not sure why you want to know the BPH, but if you need to know, you can listen carefully and count. It's either 5 beats per second (for 18000 BPH) or 6 beats per second (for 21600 BPH).

(Actually, you can download an app that will do the counting for you.)

Pocket Watch Movement ID. 17 Jewel Incabloc Swiss.

Robust, workhorse of a movement, itís been in production since 1950 or so, itís been used by some great names in horology, Omega for one, so that must say something for it

I have one in a modern wrist watch , itís a slightly re-worked original from the mid fifties but still runs a treat, itís out for service at the moment but should be back soon.

This is why I love this forum. Thank you!

I questioned the bph because my trial pocket watch I used to see how a pw fitted in my life is a Sekonda and beats higher. I figured the cheap one would be 18,000 and this higher. You guys identified it as using the Chinese standard movement, the 2650. Been a while since I’ve had a 18,000bph timepiece.

With this info I’m very happy with the purchase. I think 2018 will be the year of the pocket watch for me. :)

The Sekonda for reference. It has been reliable and accurate for the price.
