    Prisma watch identification help please

    Hi all,

This afternoon I found an old Prima watch for 5 euro. It seems to have water damage, but it is still running, so I couldnt resist buying it. I am new to watches. Could you help me please identifying this watch? I especially want to know which year it was made (aprox). It is a Prisma watch, and is winded by hand.Name: IMG_1528.JPG

Size: 1.09 MBon the last picture, you can see all the very small letters that I could identify on the end links of the watch. I hope this helps. They were too small to be able to be seen on picture.

    thanks!

There isn't very much to go on, but just based on the style, I would guess 1960s. Information about the bracelet isn't helpful because there's no reason to think it's original to the watch.

I was hoping one of the numbers on the last picture would help. There isnt something like an online database for watch serial numbers?

    Thanks for your answer.

But you’ve given us the serial numbers of the bracelet not the watch. As noted above, the bracelet was put on the watch later.

Hard to say indeed. Apart from adding it is a Dutch brand I couldn't say more...

Ah, okay, I get it now; the info on the bracelet has nothing to do with the watch.

There is no number or anything on the watch though.

Amazing it is still running :)

On the endlink it says (amongst other stuff) 2785. So I googled it in combination with Prisma. That gave an interesting hit: apparently, recently, Prisma started to sell a retro watch, called Prisma Watch Dutch Classics 50’s NR2 P.2785

It seems to me 2785, although stamped on the endlink, says something about the movement, and it was used in the 1950s. Or, at least, the bracelet was used on such a watch. The retro watch itself is different from mine, but has some similarities as well; especially comparing the hour and minute hands.
