Pull over Mr. Bulova, I need to look in your trunk.

Ever get the feeling that some people are absolutely clueless?

I was in the store by the bay today when I spied this beautiful looking '30'. I thought that band looks unusual It looks...very robust. It looks like. But it can't be. It can...............

".......unique genuine elephant leather band. You will love wearing this watch."

Not sure that I will. I think I'll be searching for too many watering holes.

Nice watch but I'm not crazy about the band. I think I would go with either a black or brown croc strap if it were me.

I think I'd rather have a band made from the scrotum of the guy who killed/made that elephant one.

Here is my Bulova 30 (same variant), but on a more acceptable band.
Thanks again to Scott aka Sdasurrey.

Yes, I'm afraid that that is where this one came from on the reluctant donor. I understand from the seller that if you rub it it turns into a fanny pack.

...and if you keep it up, it turns into something to keep your posters in.

The watch's a beauty. I'd rather see it on a tan lizard or brown alligator, though. Elephant strap? Looks like there's no limits on extravagance. What's the next material for a strap? A guanaco? A hippopotamus? No idea. As long as a strap is made of a lizard, a snake or an alligator, I'm OK with it (reptile aficionados, would you please not crucify me for that). Not an elephant, though.
That said- the Bulova is as always great, the strap- not so great. In terms of both design and origin.
