    Question about a forgoten brand - IMPERATOR

    Hi all, i cant find something about Imperator watches... i found one from 30s with a Werchmatchtswerk on it... but i have nothing else to compare with. Where can i find something about this Imperator brand??

    I like the 'Bauhaus' style of this watch. Are their any markings on the case back?

    The movement is either an AS 1155 or 1164 with indirect sweep second, depending on the frequency. They are quite rare because they were only used for a short amount of time.

    on the outside - no. On the inside i have no picture yet. I will tell you in a wek or so )


    edit - i just found that tha watch was given just a day before... but the seller forgot to change the status to -sold- ... (

    can you give me some links or info about this two movements? i cant't find anywhere on the internet data about it. I will like to "give" a year to this watch and the movement will help :)

    Sorry, I don't have any links. I use actual books, oldskool! Paulson's Masterkey, Flume, Marshall, Swartchild, Catalogue Officiel etc.
    It doesn't have too much info, only the correct caliber. Most of these books use the dial side for identifation by the way.

    These movements were soon replaced by the AS 1188 with a direct subsecond. That, the fact that it has Incabloc shockprotection and the red sweep second makes me fairly certain that it's late 40's.
