I'm no expert on these but it looks broadly OK to me. The movement is a Valjoux Cal. 92 and Heuer used mostly Valjoux calibres. If anything, the finissage on the movement is a little primitive. The know-alls here will tell you more, I'm sure.

Do you have more pictures? I think this is a reference 3336 from the 50's, comparing it to this page: OnTheDash - The definitive guide to Heuer The dial looks original, except, I think it should read "Made in Switzerland" The crown appears to be too large or too tall to me, but more pictures would be beneficial.

Where I'm the most curious is the movement. Your picture is of a Valjoux 92, and the picture makes it looks like the signed bridge is a bit on the crude side. Unfortunately, there isn't a ton of info on these earlier Heuers, but I think it should probably have a Valjoux 22 in it.

I would definitely want more info and pictures prior to purchasing. For me, when I see a few questionable items add up, I start to question the watch as a whole.

looks like the auction ended, did you buy it? That listing certainly gives more confidence, the seller didn't seem to be trying to hide anything. I didn't translate the page to be able to read the seller's description, but the movement still strikes me as odd - if the watch is from the 40s, it seems to early for a Valjoux 92.

No I did no buy it. Was actually way more days to go. So I do not know what the seller is doing with the listing. You're right there. I agree with you about the movement. Something seems not right. I let this pass anyway. Keep on huntin'

The seller probably received an offer via direct message to end the auction early, it happens quite often.

I got an e-mail by the seller. He said he removed the watch from eBay because he was tired of persistent buyers give him too low offers. The watch lies in a drawer until someone gives him the right price for it.

No worries, estate cleaners or some nephew will put it up after a couple of years :)

That's pretty odd. Isn't that the point of an auction....

He should either list it on a sales forum, do a buy it now, or just let the auction run. Some people...
