So many watches.....so little time.....
When serviced put it in auction and enjoy the £££'s or if sensible put it in a draw and forget about it for another 20-30 years then auction it for even more. Stainless steel Pateks are rare and have been appreciating it price for some time now.
safer buying on eBay than almost every other way.
you are more protected than a normal auction house that will charge you 20 percent.
you will get best price.
selling in eBay is a nightmare because it's so good for the buyer.
Based on the chart in the link I posted earlier, it was made towards the end of Amagnetic production. Mid to late 1960's. Even has the soft iron dust cover.
Your Grandfather had excellent taste.
One of the rare "my grandfather's old patek watch"that turned out to be real. Congratulation!
All original. And good-looking too! Now get it serviced, put it on a nice strap, and wear it in good health!
I have great faith in fools; self-confidence my friends call it.
