    Was this a reasonable buy?

I did not buy or bid on it, but I like the watch. Is it genuine, and would this be a price ($154 shipped) I could expect to pay for a genuine?

It's most likely a late 70's watch, and I've seen mint examples selling for $200 - $250. $154 for a watch with a gold plated case in that bad shape is not a good deal.

It isn't a lot of money for an Omega although this example is a little tired. Another hundred would probably buy you a much better one, preferably in a stainless case. I'd wait and save up a bit more.

If that was the only movement shot, I'd wonder if the serial number had been removed.

Nope, there's another movement shot on the eBay listing and the serial number sticker is there. It's hidden by the rotor on the picture above.

    Hi -

Gentle reminder, folks: no valuations here! Asking if a watch was sold for too much or too little is nothing else than a question of valuation. Period.
