    Recent acquisition...vintage Movado.

Hello all!! I recently picked up this Movado. Back inscription dates it to 1945. I'm not sure on the model...I've seen a similar one called a Tempomatic but that's not it. Most Tempomatics are approximately 32mm...this one is almost 37mm...huge by the standards back then.

The case is 14K solid gold and it sports a Movado movement (sorry about the lack of movement pics but I don't like to open them up unless I have to). Just back from the spa two weeks ago...I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

That is a very beautiful watch. As you say, a very good size for its time and a lovely dial. Has the dial been refinished?

Thank you. To my knowledge the dial is original...I bought the watch from my watchmaker and he believes it to be original as well. The dial is what really captivated me about this watch...I love the art-deco style numbers.
