    Redone dial?

    Hi gang,

Been looking at this Eterna, but it feels like the dial has been redone, could you tell from this photo? The left and right dots on the logo don’t look aligned. Or it’s just perspective?

    Thanks!

The font looks good, which is more telling to me.

So don’t write it off yet? Have you seen such imperfectly (if this one is though) applied logos?

    Re: Redone dial?

I looked at a number of dials online just now, and several of them had modest imperfections. However, the logo could also have been damaged and repaired.

Also, I looked at the full photo of this watch on eBay, and I think that overall the dial is original. There are even radium burns.

I should hang around these parts more instead of F2 🙂

    Thanks BBD!

It's amazing someone would actually sell a watch with a crystal this bad and not remove it for a clean photo of the dial. Ah well.

Maybe it's someone that doesn't know how to work on watches.

He took the back off to photo the movement. And here's the 3 of the front. Priceless.

I love sellers who don't remove the bad crystal. It gives me a better chance of getting a watch for cheaper.

One person looks and does not buy because it looks bad. Another does not because they don't want to go through getting it replaced. Many assume the movement will need a service, and if the crystal is this bad they are right.

I sell quite a bit on ebay, and I can tell you why: The item won't sell for a dime more, on a watch like this.
