    Refurbishing a vintage watch

An anyone give me an idea of how much a refurbishment of a 1944 Tissot would be? The watch runs fine, it's just a bit beat up...

Depends on what you mean by "refurbishment", and what exactly needs to be refurbished. A standard COA (clean, oil and adjust) runs anywhere from $50 to $500 depending on where you are, what kind of watch it is, and the quality of the work. If it's broken, I'd imagine parts for a '44 Tissot wouldn't be all that dear, but again it depends on where you are, and the part in question. If the watch needs more serious restoration (case refinishing or dial touch ups) it goes up from there.
