    Relide Sportsman with mystery movement

    I got this yesterday:

No maker's mark under the balance - but it is Swiss.

So I took the dial off:

Still no maker's mark. Sorry its blurred - too late now. It is 11.5'''.

I can't find it on any database. The nearest in Bestfit is:

But Durowe is German, and anyway the examples I can find don't have that barrel bridge arrangement. But - they are similar.

bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Durowe 440

    Anybody got any idea?

Its working fine; it cost me £2.29; and here it is on a £2 strap from Aldi:

Thank you radger. The Aldi straps offer comes around now and then - 2 padded leather straps in a pack for £4 - so I stock up.

    Not ID'ed the movement tho'.

Sorry. I haven't been able to ID the movement.
    My new sig -----

Over the years I've collected all sorts of movements and "project" watches ... mainly inexpensive vintage pieces.

These days I've widened my gaze to include modern pieces (including quartz with analog or analog + digital displays) but with those I'm generally looking for models in solid steel cases.

Thanks Marc. No - I've never seen those 2. Nice.

I've been accused of many things - but never of being a 'Man of Fashion'.
