    Restrapped my Vietnam 1966 Caravelle

After wearing it last week for the Marine Corps' 233rd birthday, and then for Veterans Day, I decided I needed a change from the black NATO strap that's been on it for a couple years now. Decided to try a green canvas strap, more in keeping with its jungle heritage!

On a lark I tried opening the back (first time ever) with my case wrench but it wouldn't budge. Very shallow indentations make it difficult to gain a good grip. Maybe it'll be another 42 years before it gets its first servicing! It still keeps excellent time regardless.

    Regards from Sunny San Diego..........Tom

Suggestion about getting the back off, invest in one of the new fangled plastic or rubber balls sold for the express purpose of twisting off watch case backs. Should be available at watch parts/tools dealers.
