    Revue Gt

    Hi,
    I would like to hear any information and the info regarding the date of manufacture of the below pocket watch.
    Name: REVUE 2xG
    On the covers there are following marks (unknown for me):crown,14K, 0.585, 56, 101832, 149.
    On the side of mechanism: Revue GT , 53.

    I'd guess your watch is from the 1930s, maybe later but I wouldn't be able to tell without seeing the movement.
    Revue Calibre 53 is not in the Ranfft archive as far as I can see.

    GT stands for Gedeon Thommen, the founder. The caliber is 53.

    I think the crown and circle is a German gold mark.
    I'd think the watch dates somewhere between 1920 and 1940 but I'm not an expert in Revue Thommen. Very nice movement. Looks like 17 jewels.
