    Roamers...

We've had a post your Eterna-Matics and Ruhlas, recently. I've looked back and its been a while since we've had a Roamer thread - certainly well before I was collecting watches (about 2 months )...

Anyway, hopefully some of you will join in and post your current Roamers.

I'll start with (most of) my mini Roamer collection. It spans mid 50s to start of the 70's, each watch being about 5 years apart (I think, let me know if I am wrong please):

My favorites from this lot are definitely the stainless cased ones (left: very early Anfibio), (middle: mid 60s Stingray 44 Jewel Rotodate auto cal 471, original crown and signed crystal), and (right: a late 60s Automatic Anfibo with crosshair dial which is the 28 jewel version of the cal 471 with original crown and signed crystal):

I still want a Roamer calendar and the MST417/427 Alarm. But who doesn't I am also itching for a few earlier models - but they don't seem to come up often.

Nice. I only have one Roamer (which I only bought because so many people rave about them) Alas, the balance pivot is broken, so I'm saving up for a replacement. It has an MST 372. I love the style and color of this one. No idea how old it is.

I was noticing that the dial has a pattern; I'm guessing from the dial manufacturer. Any idea if this was common for Roamers?

Wow - that's an impressive collection in such a short time.

Happy to join in with a couple of older ones and a pointer:

The one I had apart yesterday (the late 60s AnfibioMATIC) had the same pattern, so I guess that it is normal.

    Yes, fix it

Don't know if this counts, but it's a Recta, with movement made by Roamer.

    Re: Roamers...

I don't know if anyone noticed that in the first photo I posted, the watches grow in size by almost 0.5mm per year...

    I find that interesting.

Nice, I think I want to see a movement shot from that Recta.

I wish I had taken a pic when my watch guy had the movement out for servicing. I'd need to pop the crown out to remove it. Not in my skill set (yet).
