Rotary aquaplunge with red hansa. Military?

Picked up this rotary aquaplunge today and the previous owner said that the red hands were military issue only. I was wondering if somebody with knowledge of this watch can verify that the red hands are only military issued watches of this brand, thank you

I know nothing of these so just guessing. I would think there would be some sort of military reference engraved on the case if military related. ???????

It would have some sort of engraving on the back if it was military issued. The government, no matter which one, is a stickler for knowing where every piece of material, equipment or whatever goes.

Agreed. My feeling is that unless there are military issue markings or explicit documentation of military provenance, then any military connection has to be treated as speculation. We often hear stories about military watches that were not marked, and while this could be true, it's not verifiable, so these stories just need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Sometimes a set of red hands is just a set of red hands...

Those hands are not so uncommon on that model. I doubt very much that it is a military watch.

If anyone requires further evidence, here are more examples with red hands that are obviously not "military":

I doubt it's military but I do like the red hands and whole classic 60's vibe. Glad I purchased it!. Looks almost as good as my other red accented watch!
