    Rotary vintage diver

An old friend gave me a very battered Rotary Aquaplunge, I wonder if its possible to date this watch?

    Face:

The back has: 'incabloc', 'antimagnetic', 'steel case', 'automatic', 'swiss made', and the numbers '61 41 85' on the back. Stamped roughly in one place with '485'.

Its not as yellow as it looks - that's my bad photography, its steel coloured.

I'm very please with it, but it loses about a minute every two days, I guess it needs a service.

    Thanks,

    Althusian

    Very nice.

I think these date to the mid 1960's/ early 1970's - but someone with more knowledge will stop by I'm sure.

Congrats on a nice diver! I was going to say ca. 1970, due to the style.

A more definitive statement can be made if we could see the movement, especially the area around the balance wheel.
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Thanks everyone - rather confirms what I know of the history of the watch.
On the movement, I'll give that some thought - I might be getting a knowledgeable friend to look at it and get a picture.

"Aquaplunge" - yeah, it sounds like some kind of washing machine!

It's up there with other greats like 'Nauticfish'.
