Roxor Watch - Looking for Replacement Movement - Help!

Hi folks, I'm new to this forum.

I have this Roxor watch which has sentimental value. The balance and movement is damaged, so I'm looking for a generic replacement. I bought a old Genievre brand watch with the same movement, but it was damaged as well.

Can anyone recommend me a replacement?

I agree about looking to get it fixed. It looks to have a bad hairspring. Sometimes an old nos complete balance can be had for a movement. First step is to ID the movement.

It's one of the better, more highly jewelled pin lever movements. I can't identify it offhand but I suspect it might be by Brac.

I’ve been to the watch shop but they keep saying it’s not worth repairing. Any suggested shops in Montréal, Quebec, Canada that would do this kind of stuff?

Generally, they are right: it isn't economical. Still, it can be done and would improve the watch and it would be mandatory if you wanted to use the watch and make sure it didn't bust. A fair number of watchmakers don't think these watches worth their while and will put you off with large bills (or quotes) or by just saying "it's not worth it". If necessary, you just have to insist but it would get expensive. As for where to get it done, I wouldn't know, I'm afraid. There is a forum sticky on the subject but sadly it doesn't cover Canada.
